The map

Pins mark everything with a location: fuel in amber, pump-outs in blue, guest docks, launch and dinghy ramps in green, Harbor Patrol and the Coast Guard in their own colours. Tap a pin for the name and, where the entry has them, Call and Directions buttons. The caption notes that pins are approximate and Directions uses the official address.

The lists

Under the map, five groups:

  • Fuel, docks & ramps: the fuel dock with its hours, the free pump-out, the guest docks and their limits, the public launch ramp and the dinghy launch.
  • Who to call & hail: Harbor Patrol, the Coast Guard, LA County Beaches & Harbors, and on-water towing.
  • VHF & the foghorn: the channel quick reference, and how to trigger the entrance foghorn, which is the local knowledge most worth having: key the mic five times on VHF 81A and it sounds for about half an hour.
  • Harbor rules: the 5 mph limit and no wake, quiet hours from 10 pm to 7 am, and where you may tie up.
  • Good to know: how the harbor is laid out, the eight basins off the main channel, and what the entrance is like at night.

Each card carries the address, hours and VHF channel where they apply, with Call, Directions and Website buttons.

How current it is

This is curated content, checked against LA County Beaches & Harbors and the operators’ own sources, not a live feed. Hours and phone numbers change. The footer says to verify VHF channels and conditions on arrival, and that is not boilerplate: call ahead before you rely on a fuel dock’s closing time.

For anything happening right now, the entrance, an incident, a boat in trouble, hail Harbor Patrol on VHF 16 rather than reading a guide.
