The club directory

Every yacht club in the harbor with its burgee, facilities and contact details, plus the community organisations and schools, and how to say which ones are yours.

iPhone and AndroidClubsProfileUpdated September 4, 2026

Also known as: clubs, yacht club, club directory, burgee, join a club, my clubs, member, primary club, home club, CYC, DRYC, SMWYC, PMYC, SCCYC, community, schools, UCLA, MAC, WSA

Tap Clubs in the bar at the bottom. The list is every yacht club in the harbor, followed by Community & Schools for the organisations that are not clubs.

The Clubs tab listing the harbor’s yacht clubs

A club’s page

Tap a club for its burgee, roughly how many members it has, its facilities, a description, its upcoming events and its address. The buttons at the top are Website, Call and Directions, where the club has published them.

A Member pill appears next to the name when the club is one of yours.

Saying which clubs are yours

This is the part people look for in the wrong place: you do not join a club from the club’s page. Open Profile, find My Clubs, and tap Add.

  1. Tap Add beside My Clubs.
  2. Pick your club from the list.
  3. The first club you add becomes your primary club. To change that later, tap Set as primary on another one.

You can belong to several. The X on a card removes an affiliation.

What being a member does in the app

Three things, and it is worth being clear that it is only three:

  • a Member pill on that club’s page
  • that club’s events reach your Home screen even when you are looking at another harbor
  • you can receive that club’s announcements, if you turn on Club announcements in Profile, under Notifications

It does not unlock any content. Slipside does not check your membership with the club, and there is nothing hidden behind it.

Community & Schools

Below the clubs are the organisations that teach, run programs or look after the harbor: for Marina del Rey, the UCLA Marina Aquatic Center, the Women’s Sailing Association of Santa Monica Bay, and the US Coast Guard station. Their pages are simpler, with a description and contact details.

How current it is

The directory is researched and maintained by hand from the clubs’ own sites and LA County Beaches & Harbors. Member counts are approximate, which is why they are written with a “~”. If something about your club is wrong or out of date, use Send to support and tell us.

Still stuck? In the app, open Profile, then Help & Support, and use Send to support. Otherwise email support@slipside.app.
