Slipside Premium

Slipside is free, and the part you open every morning will stay free. Premium is for sailors who want the app to do more of the thinking for their own boat.

What stays free

Current conditions, wind, gusts, sea state, tides and sun for your home harbor. The briefing card and the wind map. Every marine advisory and safety notice. The harbor guide, the club directory and club events. All of Crew Finder, posting and answering. Your boat, your race calendar and your crew for a race. This season’s results and standings, in the app and on the web.

What Premium adds

• Your briefing, for your boat. The morning read uses your boat and the hours you are usually on the water.
• Alerts on your own rules. Wind over twelve from the west on a weekday afternoon, for example. Slipside watches and tells you.
• Your week, planned. The next seven days scored for your boat and your experience, with the best window marked.
• More than one boat. Run every boat you own from one account. Boats you crew on are free.
• Your whole season’s crew on one screen. Every race and every crew member at once, and one tap to ask who is in.
• Racing analysis. Season trends, the boats you always cross, and prior seasons.
• Every harbor. Conditions at every Slipside harbor, not only your home harbor, and racing outside your own region.
• Wind, rewound. Drag the wind map back through the last twenty four hours.

The rewound hours come from the forecast model run over time that has already passed. They are a good picture of what the water did, but they are a model and not a measurement. For what a buoy actually recorded at a given hour, NOAA’s own record is the one to trust.

Prices

Premium is monthly, or annual with a free trial for new subscribers. A limited number of one time Lifetime purchases are also offered. The current prices and trial length are on the Premium screen in the app, which is the only place they are guaranteed to be right. To open it, go to Profile, then Slipside Premium, or tap any Premium chip.

Founding Crew

Every account made in the first thirty days after Slipside launched is Founding Crew. Founding Crew have Premium free through 30 April 2027, the end of the first full season. There is nothing to claim and no paywall during that time. While it runs, Founding Crew can also buy Founding Sailor: Premium for as long as Slipside operates, as a one time purchase at a price nobody else is offered. The offer closes on 30 April 2027.

Beta Crew

Sailors who tested Slipside before it reached the stores and answered the beta survey have Premium free for as long as Slipside operates.

Restoring a purchase

A purchase belongs to the Slipside account that made it. On a new phone or after reinstalling, sign in to that same account and Premium is there.

If it does not appear, open Profile, then Slipside Premium, and tap Restore purchases. Use the same Apple ID or Google account you paid with. If the app says it could not find a purchase, check that you are signed in to the Slipside account you bought Premium on.

Cancelling

Cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings on iPhone, or in Google Play subscriptions on Android. Slipside cannot cancel a subscription for you and never sees your payment details. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google.

If you stop

Nothing you made is deleted. The Premium features go back to the free version until you subscribe again.
