Units, theme, home harbor and racing regions
Switch between knots and mph, feet and metres, Fahrenheit and Celsius, choose light or dark, understand your home harbor and the harbor picker, and pick which regions' racing you see.

All of these are in Profile.
Units & Display
Three rows: Wind speed (kt or mph), Heights (ft or m) and Temperature (°F or °C). Every screen changes at once.
One thing does not follow: the wind alert threshold is always in knots, because it is a fixed line rather than a display.
Appearance
Theme, Dark or Light. The sun or moon button at the top right of any screen does the same thing in one tap.
Home harbor
Where you keep your boat. It decides which harbor’s marine advisories and wind alerts you get, the racing defaults, and the club directory you land on. It is also the harbor you read for free.
In this release your home harbor is Marina del Rey and it does not move; the Home harbor row in Profile shows it and says so. Choosing a different home harbor comes in a later release.
That is different from the harbor picker, the little pin next to the wordmark at the top of the screen. The picker changes what you are looking at right now: Marina del Rey, Channel Islands, King Harbor or Long Beach. While you are away from home the wordmark suffix turns orange to remind you whose wind you are reading. Reading the other harbors is part of Slipside Premium; a free account sees the list and is offered Premium on tapping one. The picker never changes your home harbor, and it never changes the Racing tab, which follows your home harbor and your racing regions.
Racing regions
Which harbors’ racing shows up in your calendar, series list and past races. Eight regions from north to south, each row naming the clubs it covers: Central Coast, Santa Barbara, Channel Islands & Ventura, Marina del Rey, South Bay, Long Beach, Orange County and San Diego.
Your home harbor’s region is always on and cannot be switched off; the others are part of Slipside Premium. Two things always come through whatever you choose: a destination race that starts or finishes here, and any race you have entered or are crewing on.
Where these are kept
Units, theme, briefing length and racing regions live on this phone, not on your account, so a new phone starts them at their defaults. Your home harbor, in contrast, is saved to your account and follows you.
